Una Petrauska

Una has almost 20 years’ experience as professional lawyer commencing with her practice in public sector. In 2013, she became a member of the Bar Association of Latvia. Now she is Attorney at Law and Head of KPMG Law firm in Latvia.

Una’s primary specialization is financial law, commercial law (corporate law, M&A, restructuring), insolvency law (including of credit institutions). She has obtained experience also in other areas of civil law such as contract law, labor law, real estate law, EU and International law, as well as administrative law.

Una began cooperation with KPMG Baltics SIA in 2006. During those nine years, Una was leading the legal team in M&A projects, cross border mergers, restructuring projects, she took part in various legal research projects, including PPP and state sector procurement, as well as provided legal support as part of all types of audit and financial advisory engagements. In addition, she provided and supervised the provision of legal support to several leading companies of various industries.

Currently Una takes active part in managing the liquidation process of LAS Latvijas Krajbanka on behalf of KPMG Baltics SIA, during which she gained significant experience in litigation, restructuring and in other recovery processes both in Latvia and abroad.
Her special experience in financial and capital sector also includes launching a new insurance product in Latvia for an international insurance company and other.

Una has specialized in financial, energy and natural resources industries.

Ieva Tillere-Tilnere

Ieva has over 12 years of relevant experience as a professional lawyer with general specialization in civil, commercial and administrative law. Ieva has advised sell and buy sides all through complex and large merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions, assisted on restructuring, liquidation and cross-border merger engagements, advised on general corporate matters and provided and supervised day-to-day legal support to market leading companies of different industries.

Ieva started her legal practice back in 2003 as associate with a local law office where she worked until joining one of the leading business law firms in the Baltic market (Raidla, Lejins & Norcous, now rebranded to Cobalt) in 2007. Since then in her capacity as senior associate Ieva has been advising on real estate transactions and construction law, participated and lead numerous cross-border and local M&A engagements.

Before establishing KPMG Law firm Ieva was contracted by KPMG Baltics SIA in 2012 to advise KPMG Baltics SIA and, on its behalf, multinational investors. During this period, Ieva also was engaged as a legal expert in numerous significant research projects and worked on legal and corporate governance models for the public sector.

Laura Vilka

Laura have been a professional lawyer since 2004. In 2015 Laura became an Attorney at Law and a member of the Bar Association of Latvia.

She has advised clients on legal matters related to day-to day business management, large and daily business transactions, local corporate, regulatory and compliance matters.

At KPMG, Laura has been working in a number of business planning and restructuring projects, including domestic and cross-border mergers, liquidations, legal and regulatory compliance reviews, legal due diligence and M&A projects. Her experience relates to different industries such as the public sector, administrative court proceedings, tax law, real estate and construction, financial and capital markets, natural resources and other. She has also been working on cross-border asset recovery. As a member of the KPMG team Laura participated in the insolvency administration of the seventh largest Latvian bank JSC Latvijas Krajbanka.

Before joining KPMG in 2008 Laura worked for a real estate group (2005-2008) as a lawyer and with the Ministry of Transport (2004-2005) as a legal adviser.

Ingrida Reinfelde

Ingrida is Attorney at Law with 8 years of relevant experience as a professional lawyer. Ingrida’s field of expertise is commercial law, corporate law, employment law and immigration law. Ingrida has provided legal assistance in reorganization and liquidation procedures, she has acted as an advisor on Legal DD projects and advised on various real estate acquisition matters. In addition, her expertise covers dispute settlement and litigation issues.

Ingrida commenced her legal practice in 2007 as associate with one of the leading and most reputable law firms in the Baltics (Raidla, Lejiņš & Norcous, now Cobalt). Since then Ingrida has gained extensive experience, advising both local and internationally well-known companies. In her capacity as associate Ingrida represented clients in a wide scope of immigration and employment law matters requiring individual and particular approach, including consulting on the legal requirements for employment of foreign nationals, obtaining of residence and work permits and prepared the relevant documentation and represented clients before state authorities. Before the establishment of KPMG Law firm in Latvia Ingrida provided assistance to KPMG Baltics SIA and its clients on a contract basis. Ingrida’s clients were both large international companies and family-owned businesses.

Sanita Petersone

Sanita has nearly nine years of experience in personal data protection with Data State Inspectorate where she conducted and led inspections of personal data protection in companies and public/local government agencies, including on personal data security and technical and organisational protection of data. She gained experience also by leading seminars and providing advice to companies and public authorities, delivering training on personal data protection to employees and personal data protection specialists, representing the authority before the court, issuing opinions to the administrative court and the court of general jurisdiction, and the Constitutional Court. Sanita’s public sector experience also comes from working in a local government on matters related to the construction process and development of the urban environment.

Prior to working in public administration, for a number of years Sanita worked as a lawyer in a financial and business consulting firm and took part in foundation and reorganisation of companies and organisations, and cross-border M&A engagements.

Ugis Ludins

Ugis works as junior associate in KPMG Law firm in Latvia. On 2015 Ugis became a member of the Bar Association of Latvia and an Assistant Attorney at Law. Ugis has over 5 years of relevant experience in the provision of legal services and his general specialization is civil and commercial law. Ugis has been engaged in various cross-border and local M&A projects, due diligence projects in various industries (including transport and logistics, production, wholesale, retail and IT) and assisting in the provision of legal advice related to energy and financial sector.

Before the establishment of KPMG Law firm in Latvia Ugis worked for 2 years with the Tax and Legal Department of KPMG Baltics SIA where he participated in advisory projects to support sell and buy-sides throughout transactions and provided legal assistance on corporate structuring, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, foundations and liquidations of private and public companies and other general commercial matters. Prior to joining KPMG Baltics SIA Ugis gained experience in legal services working for several Attorneys at Law in Latvia.

Lina Lazdina

Lina is junior associate in KPMG Law firm in Latvia. On 2016 Lina became a member of the Bar Association of Latvia and an Assistant Attorney at Law. Her general specialization is civil law, commercial law, competition law and administrative law.

Lina has been engaged in various cross-border and local M&A projects, due diligence projects (including in public sector), significant legal research projects for public sector and provided assistance in general corporate matters, as well as participated in complex projects related to energy and financial sector. She have also provided support in drafting court fillings and applications to the public authorities to initiate proceedings. Before the establishment of KPMG Law firm in Latvia Lina worked at the Tax and Legal Department of KPMG Baltics SIA where she had the opportunity to participate in several interdepartmental national and cross-border projects and help other departments in legal matters.

During her studies, Lina have represented Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia in the European Law Moot Court Competition in Portugal and with her team have won the best-written memorandum in the first national Administrative Law Moot Court Competition in Latvia.
